The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela rejects the offending references to Venezuela contained in the 2017 State of Terrorism Report of the State Department of the United States of America.

Venezuela does not recognize such an unilateral and arbitrary practice that simulates the assessment and qualification of other countries, especially since the presumed evaluator is nothing more than the main protagonist of terrorism. the world by fabricating wars of unjustifiable fratricide, to maintain illegal detention and torture centers and open financing for terrorist groups to defend their economic and geopolitical interests, without ever repairing the pain, death and the destruction that these acts entail in their wake.

Likewise, the threat of the use of military force against Venezuela or any other country, as well as the imposition of unilateral coercive measures and the illegal economic blockade, are undeniable modalities of terror and suffering in peaceful societies.
Recently, President Nicolás Maduro and the highest authorities of the Venezuelan state were the subject of a planned and precisely funded terrorist attack in the United States of America, which fortunately did not achieve its evil objectives. .

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela will continue to fight relentlessly against international terrorism by cooperating with civilized countries seeking to maintain global peace and security. Today, with more firmness and conviction, Venezuela ratifies that it will continue to fight against this scourge until its total eradication.
