KCaracas, June 20th 2018.- On Wednesday, the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela denounced the "contempt" of the United States regime for multilateralism and its institutions, which became evident after the United States withdrew from the Human Rights Council of the United Nations ( UN).

In an official statement, the National Executive notes that the Trump Administration could not withstand the scrutiny of an international democratic Organ, in reference to the criticisms made by the UN of the US Government's policy of separating immigrant children from their parents in the United States border with Mexico.

Venezuela also denounced the warmongering behavior of the United States Government that generates wars and death in the world, as well as destruction by natural resources and geopolitical domination.

"It maintains (the US government) visible and clandestine torture centers, blocks countries to make suffer and twist the will of its people, seeks to corral the Palestinian people, expelled and mistreats millions of immigrants," the statement added.
Referring to this file, the Venezuelan Government stressed that "Washington's membership in the Human Rights Council of the United Nations was already paradoxical".

"His retirement takes place precisely at times when he is unable to show a halo of humanity with more than two thousand children who have been separated from their parents and locked in cages like wild animals for the mere fact of being immigrants on the south border ", complements the official statement.

At the same time, Venezuela described as "one of the greatest atrocities in contemporary world history" the US policy of separating immigrant families, within the framework of the Organization of American States (OAS), requesting its pronouncement since it has not done so until the moments. LO
