Caracas, February 20th 2018.- As part of the South-South Dignity Tour, the Chancellor of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza, held a meeting with the President of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, Teodoro Obiang Nguema, to explain the real situation of the Homeland of Bolivar, specifically the consequences of the sanctions imposed by the Government of the United States and the European Union.

"We came to talk about the reality of Venezuela, a reality that is difficult to see through the media. As the Government of the Bolivarian Revolution has been attacked, President Nicolás Maduro, like last year, the Venezuelan right wing remained in the streets with violence, destroying and murdering Venezuelans. They were unable to achieve their results and then, President Nicolás Maduro achieved Peace through the National Constituent Assembly, with Democracy we achieved Peace, "said the Diplomatic Representative of Venezuela.

In this sense, the Minister pointed out that despite all the struggle that the Venezuelan people have carried out because of the opposition's violence, the International Right has sanctioned the Nation, because they do not want Democracy in Venezuela, nor a Government that invest its natural resources in the People, in education, housing, health, culture, and other economic sectors.

"The Revolutionary Government invests in housing, in education, in universities, in health; of course this bothers the world's powerful, it bothers the US Government, "reiterated the foreign minister and also said that the empire has also banned the Venezuelan opposition to participate in the upcoming presidential elections on April 22, as well as blocked the signing of the dialogue agreement that was being developed in the Dominican Republic.

On the other hand, the holder of the Foreign Relations portfolio assured that during the meeting with the government of Equatorial Guinea, cooperation issues were addressed, including a Binational Mixed Commission, in the city of Malabo, with the participation of Venezuelan and Guinea ministers, to evaluate different areas in which joint work can be achieved in the economic and health sector, as well as the installation in the African country of the Venezuela Exporta Fair.

"We are talking about the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (Alba-TCP) and we are evaluating how we can take Equatorial Guinea as the entrance of the products that are made in our continent", added the Chancellor.
He also expressed that for the Bolivarian Government it is a pleasure to meet with President Teodoro Obiang Nguema, because He is a Man committed to the causes of the Peoples of the world.
